Hydrangea Shirobana Gaku-Ajisai

Unusual pure-white hydrangea relative

We acquired this beauty from Joy Creek Nursery in Oregon before they closed their retail store.  It is pure white, fertile flowers and sterile flowers, for the longest time of any of our hydrangeas.  We don't believe that it contains any pigments to blush.  Petals flip upside down as they age, revealing white undersides.  Blooms age lime green in the heat of summer.
