Rare color stages from cherry to purple
A heavy bloomer with clusters of cherry red to violet to blue blossoms that flower mid to late season. A sturdy stemmed, vigorous growing hydrangea that is a real eye catching specimen. The flower head looks overcrowded with petals in the autumn giving the bloom a frilly look. Most likely bred by D. Baardse of the Netherlands in 1930 but could be same plant introduced by F. Matthes in 1929.
