You'll be thrilled with the way this vigorous hydrangea can change the color of its very large individual flowers. In acid soil they are deep blue, in neutral they are bright pink and turning deep red in autumn. The blooms last an unusually long time and maintain an intense pigment in their dried state. It makes an outrageous statement in the shade for the fortunate garden with fall color, too. Bred in Germany in 1931 by H. Schadendorff.
