The most spectacular of the pure species
The fluorescent, violet-blue lacecap blooms appear to float within the free form growth habit of this lovely Aspera species. Not very showy as a small plant but beyond belief as a large plant. The Villosa was discovered in the Himalayas in 1802 and introduced into English gardens from China in the early 1900's. It is still one of the most breathtaking of the asperas. Can be grown in colder climates if sheltered from cold and drying wind.
