Native cousin of the hydrangea known as Wood Vamp I fell in love with this climbing vine in Georgia when I was captivated by the fragrance of this zone 7 beauty. Although I have not seen a bloom yet, I suspect that like its cousin, it needs a few years of climbing to get the blooms started. White flowers in early summer turn to fuzzy clematis-like spent flower clusters and some colorful leaf changes to enjoy in the fall.
