Dear Hydrangea enthusiasts,

Welcome to the November 2011 newsletter for Hydrangea PlusŪ.

What’s Happening…
Brrr, heat is coming on in the office a bit earlier than usual.  But the sun is still shining and I’m happy with the warmth of the heating vent right under my desk.

Halloween eve is already a blur as we start sliding into the holiday season.  November brings colder temperatures and sleepy hydrangeas as they begin to lose their leaves and slide into dormancy.  Arborescens Annabelle is already shedding with style.  One day, leaves changing to glorious yellow and today, nothing but the stems.  A few frosty nights will do that to Ms. Annabelle.

I was out in the nursery today and took some fabulous fall photos.  The rain usually keeps us inside but inside of our poly covered cold frames, it’s a bit warmer and definitely drier in there. Brunette (Merville Sanguine) is putting on a show for us with those purple leaves.  I’m not kidding, really purple.

Visit our Facebook page at to http://www.facebook.com/hydrangeasplus or just search for Hydrangeas Plus from your Facebook program.  I post specials and photos so visit often.

New look for our website
It took a bit of work but I’m finished.  You’ll notice that we no longer have categories for 1-year, 2-year and 3-year plants.  Now, we have just one product but with the option for selecting the size from the product page.  The 3-year size may be the default but we almost have every variety completely back in stock with every variety so take a look.

If by chance the size you’d like is not in stock, please let me know.  Email me at [email protected] and I can email you when the cultivar and size you’d like is back in stock.

If you haven’t visited our website for a while, check out the new lower shipping rates to the eastern side of the US.  Now it’s more economical than ever to order hydrangeas from us.

Volume 11 – Catalog for 2012
We have gone PDF!  If you’d like me to email you a copy of our latest and greatest catalog, please email me at [email protected].  I will return your email with the pdf form of our catalog attached to the email.

For those of you that would like a copy of our catalog please send $5 to Hydrangeas PlusŪ at PO BOX 389, Aurora OR 97002.  Or, order it online with your credit card for $5.

New Varieties for 2012
New varieties are on the website (finally, she said).  Enjoy our new selections of new wood blooming David Ramsey, Sadie Ray, biggest lacecap Weidlers Blue, Paniculatas Chantilly Lace or Little Lime.  Look for the new compact Oakleaf varieties, Ruby Slippers or Munchkin, in 2012.   These little Oakleaf are still growing but they are worth the wait.

Happy Turkey Day!
Let the Holiday shopping begin.
