Hydrangeas Plus :: Quercifolia

Quercifolia

Three sizes available in most cultivars.

Commonly referred to as the Oakleaf hydrangea for its oak tree shaped leaves but hydrangea like qualities. This hydrangea is a larger growing hydrangea that does especially well in hot, humid areas. Blooms are conical and creamy white in color and we believe most prolific in areas with drastic temperature changes. These hardy plants are native to the United States and have leaves that turn rusty red in the fall for a wonderful season finale. Hardy to zone 5 through 9 and bloom late spring through fall.

Our 1-year plants have been grown in a 3.5 pot for at least one growing season. The container is at least 3 by 3 and foliage is typically 2 to 4.

Our 2-year plants are growing in a trade 1-gallon container for at least one growing season. The one-gallon plants have a root ball of approximately 4 to 5 inches and foliage can be 4 to 12 in height (DWARF cultivars will be smaller). Please note these plants are not shipped in their original containers and must be planted or potted up immediately after receipt.

Our 3-year plants are approximately three times larger and have been grown in a 3-gallon container for at least one season. The root balls are approximately 6 to 9 inches and foliage can be 12 to 24 in height (DWARF cultivars will be smaller). Please note these plants are not shipped in their original containers and must be planted or potted up immediately after receipt.
